I Do Want to Make a Snippet Roll!

While I was reading Linda's blog, I saw the neatest spool that she received in an ornament swap she was in...she had a link to Carole's blog with a tutorial...I clicked. The tutorial was titled, "Want to Make a Snippet Roll Too?"  Oh, yes, indeed I do!  Now!  Or at least as soon as I get the toy room cleaned...

The first spool I grabbed was white.  I don't have many white spools and it had a great patina to it.

I didn't think I had any organza ribbon like Carole used...but there was a spool from the garage sale where I bought tulle.  One roll was organza. 

Little snippets were quickly added....little snippets.  I use that phrase often in my mind in my sewing room.  So when Carole called these her little snippet rolls, it just clicked with me!

One snippet came from a tape measure, the others from book pages.

On the end I sewed a string and a button...

So when it's all rolled up, it can be secured.
